We've got a good example of how politicians ignore those that they are suppose to represent here in WV. Mollohan especially in the house is lined up in line with the DIM liberal left agenda. He made a joke of the town hall meetings, holding them in staged union supporting meetings only, he did not venture to territory that he knew would state opposition to all this. I can only hope that he will not be re-elected, but we have him for a long time still as he won in the last election. WV needs some GOP of quality to run, doesn't seem to be any..

AND....... while all the health care stuff is going on with new draft after new draft trying to change the wording just so and so to garner another vote without loosing another vote, what is happening elsewhere?

ONO is not addressing the Iran or Afghanistan issues. His policy is that he has no policy, he simply does not know what to do... The end result is going to be a situation where the US has failed to stand up for itself and the rest of the world and everybody will be nuke capable! I would certainly want nuke's if I was running some small country somewhere, why not and especially now since ONO does nothing except ignore things that should otherwise be addressed overseas. The job is and has been and will always be a multi tasking job, it is not just one pet project. Instead of being on TV every day and every night pumping for health care, he should be holding some serious meetings and talks with others to get a grasp on what this nuke crap is going to do to the world order!

It is going to be a very dangerous world if some of these rogue countries have nuke capability. That is the reason we have always stopped it from happening in the past. Now this hands off and be gentle to the prisoner and let them go if they say they are sorry approach is quite evident. This is going to be a significant problem one day. Somebody is going to set one off, it will be excused by some country that failed to have sufficient safety to protect the nuke they created just for the fun of it.

9-26-09 Today I had business with our insurance agent, who is a 40 plus year friend. During our visit we were able to sit down and talk for awhile, don't always get to do that together and it was enjoyable.

My friend has been an insurance agent for many years and I rely, depend and defer to him with complete trust for all our insurance needs. The man is our insurance guru and our talk today became political.

My expert on insurance is not happy with the health care proposal's that are being created left and right in our nation's capital. He pointed out many things that were wrong with the proposal's and the problems that any of them will create. You can not simply wish something done and expect it to work without issues. It would be perfect if none of us ever had to worry about health insurance, but, somebody must pay for it and there lies the problem. You can not dictate to the medical profession what and when they will do things and how much they may charge, it simply will not work and forced mandates on the health care industry will quickly lead to its failure.

This to me was alarming, it confirmed my fears receiving his point of view on this. The man knows how it will impact the insurance agency and it isn't going to be pretty.

He didn't say this, but in my mind what I see is complete confusion regarding paperwork, at the doctor's office going over what is and what is not covered, billings for procedures we are not covered for, loss of coverage for some who have to fall on the national plan for coverage, basically total chaos running amok...

9-23-09 This has been an enjoyable trip, I have managed to keep up on most of the news, what little there has been, as well as post a few times here to my rant page.

I had lunch with a friend who very quickly got into some comments about the lack of direction and complete lack of leadership by none other than ONO... I had an idea that my friend was certainly not DIM and I was correct. We discussed various issues and agreed that we did not see a single thing where ONO appeared to be qualified or accomplishing anything for the benefit of our country. We later discussed some of the people that we know. And, we both agree that you can't argue with idiot's.

The main stream media combined with their "family" affiliations and current needs is what creates idiot's. My parent's were DIM's they might say, well, mine were too, but they didn't broaden their knowledge and only accepted what those of like mind told them. Today that is not an excuse. Simply accepting what the current leadership proposes is not what any of us should do at any time. We should be informed and do an evaluation of things from time to time. With that said, I am pleased that many have done this, the tea parties and the huge walk on Washington are evidence of that. We must continue to raise our voices and say hold on, wait a minute, what you are suggesting that we do is not what I want.

I hope the next election cycle takes care of some of these problems....

9-22-09 The man has no limit to his self appreciation as he continues his ONOAThon preaching his doctrine to any and all crowds and holding as many news casts as possible. His achieve film library for his first 200 days in office will contain thousands of hours of reading from a teleprompter prepared remarks, one on one interviews that ramble on and are followed by clarification announcements afterwards as he always gets something wrong when he is on his own and not following a prompter to read.

He continues to try to win the hearts and minds with his vague, frequently changing health care plan. Problem is, he doesn't know what it contains, he is selling something that is being written by others, in more than one location at the same time. He seems that he is not aware of the large protests, he just continues to preach and build his film library.

Of comical interest, he has complained that the press is misleading the public and not truly representing his agenda, you got to be kidding? They are at his beckon call, holding their audiences captive with several prime time conferences already and I challenge anyone to find negative ONO news on ABC, CBS, CNN or MSNBC or NBC... Click, click, click they march right behind him in step, yet, he is not pleased.

As I have stated before, way to much, way to fast and way to much debt to deal with at this time. Regardless of who is in office, management must come into play to keep our economy viable in the future. Extreme debt is not the desirable method.

My initial reaction to ONO removing the missile defense in Europe was neutral. I have always thought that if I were Russia I might be a wee bit ticked off at that. But more importantly we should note ONO's lack of leadership or direction with regard to our international affairs. If we have already shunned Israel, now drop the missile defense system, who will be next that we back away from? I am all for improved relations with Russia, and I think Bush could have done a lot better, in fact I am disappointed that he didn't. But ONO is not the guy to build close secure ties with Russia. He can't seem to focus on the rest of the world, he is engrossed with his health care agenda, better hope for the best on this, they are tied together and we don't need to loose any more friends. In fact, I recall him talking about this, how he would make the US more favorable in the world. Well, so far what has he done?

9-21-09 I have on several occasions called the DIMocratic party the party of Whine. But, you know what? I believe that it is time that we take their example and use it for our own purposes! Instead of trying to counter all their complaints and whines, lets fire away with hundred's of own. Their whines have actually been working well, after all they seem to be able to call their own shots when it gets whiny out there. Pelosi, who heard something entirely different in the CIA briefing than anyone else never apologized, she simply said she wasn't going to talk about it anymore. Giving a little credit where credit might be due, she did not call for an apology on the "you lie" issue, perhaps for fear that she would be called onto the carpet herself.

Recently we have seen some success calling people on the carpet, lets keep at it, start the suttle whine and let it run it's course. It is a tried and true method that has been used for many years now, it is time to use it ourselves!

If you read my last post, add that to today's and I am a racist and a whiner and going to become proud of it before it is all over!

9-19-09 The fact that I am concerned with an enormous debt created by a bill passed by our lawmakers that none read, the fact that I am concerned that these same lawmakers want to pass a health care bill that is currently in 5 different drafts, each of which 10,000 plus pages in size, the fact that I wonder why ONO does not provide proof that he was born in the US, the fact that he also will not release his academic school records, the fact that the previously mentioned stimulus bill is not working and will have to be paid for one day, the fact that ONO has changed the rules that allow us to defend our country, the fact that these changes will make us more vulnerable to foreign efforts to attack us, the fact that we bailed out GM, the fact that ONO hires people he calls czars that have past radical, extremist, muslim and anti government backgrounds to include communist, the fact that ONO has made it clear that he intends to legalize illegal aliens, the fact that he intends to provide free health insurance to these illegal aliens, the fact that our first amendment rights are already being abused as they control nearly all the media, the fact that our second amendment rights are in jeapordy and they continue to try to eliminate this right, the fact that ONO is "commander in speak" and goes before group after group, traveling all over the country and repeatidly selling his story when, in fact the protests against him over and over again are ignored by him and his press. The fact that these protests are attacked by ONO and his cronies as radical, right wing, Nazi, minor groups of extremists and etc. small groups of people while the fact is that these groups are large and represent the majority now, not the minority... And, so it goes, The fact is that if you are like me and have any qualms regarding any of the above, then you are a racist.

You would think that we could be beyond the race thing now. I read an article once that the author said that blacks one and only trump card was the race card, that at anytime they run into anyone who opposed them and what they wanted, that race was the issue. I suppose that this must be true, we have seen several times now in the past week where race is the reason, and a few weeks ago it was brought up for another issue. Jimmy Carter, of all people saying that race is an issue, he is the only one I know who is on tape calling ONO that "black boy"... Another example of what the press will show and what they will not show.

I have always felt that anytime a broad excuse, such as race is used, that it is absolute proof positive that they are wrong. If they can not provide a valid argument on a particular issue and can only say that you are after them because of their race, then they know themselves that they are wrong. It is like a child answering you when you question them why they did something, their reply is "because, he made me do it", it is not a reason, it reflects that they are doing what they are doing solely because they think they can, when caught they have no excuse except to blame others.

9-17-09 I'm writing this while on vacation I hadn't planned to post until we returned home but couldn't resist. This morning I looked on Drudge and read an article about the main stream media and how they continue to selectively report news that they wish to report. It pointed out that many things are ommitted from their reports such as the nearly a million marchers in DC against the health care proposal, how it only got slight mention buried in the regular news casts. And, in the main stream DIM controlled papers it was referred to as a group of zealots marching agsinst what everybody wants. Everybody wants? Were it a protest of some kind in favor of the DIM's you can bet that it would receive several minutes of coverage with interviews to express their opinion. Since it was a rather LARGE turnout, more than they expected, it got minimal coverage and outright false reporting when they said only a few thousand showed. And to pick another example, the main stream media harped on the "You Lie" outburst and how tragic and inappropriate that it was. They have made no mention that as a result of this outburst, that the DIM's were caught with their hands in the cookie jar once again and that his statement was in fact true. As a result of this incident they will have to make amendments to their legislation that will not immediately give free health care and citizenship to their illegal's that they want to add to their voting pool as soon as possible.

I will give them a wee bit of credit though, they did report on the acorn incidents, because they couldn't hide that one. As a result acorn has shot itself in the foot and now find some of their funding being cut. This no doubt has ONO talking to himself big time. Thanks to the couple who posed as a hooker and a pimp with a hidden camera and went to acorn offices to document examples of the fraud that acorn promotes. Like the you lie incident, we will be better off as a result.

We HOPE and PRAY that acorn will sue Fox news. Oh that would be sweet getting this all aired out in public! Please... Please sue them acorn!!!

Now, once again, as in the past, if you read my rant page, I can say that the article's I read this morning have since been removed by this evening. This has happened several times in the past. They simply disappear from the Drudge report page. I have no clue why but it happens fairly frequently. I don't know if Drudge is pressured to remove these incriminating articles, paid to remove them or what, or simply remove them for fear that they will be sued... But it keeps happening, and no, I'm not loosing my mind, I read it this morning and decided to write this add on to my rant page this evening. I went to read the articles again to refresh my memory and they are simply gone, like some before??

09-09-09 Lot of 9's today! Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a luncheon dinner with about 30 former co-workers. All of us are retired now and annually they hold a lunch so that we can get together and see what is happening. This is the second time I have attended this lunch, and if our plans to move come true, it will be our last.

I had no idea what would be discussed at our table, so I was initially simply listening. The discussion at the table quickly turned to the current political situation. I found this very interesting as I sat there and simply listened to these men say exactly the same thing I would say if I was in the discussion. It started with one guy saying he was no longer a member of the AARP, he implied he had called and dropped his membership, the others said they no longer would belong either. On a whole, none are happy with ONO and his force feeding know best for us sweeping changes. They do not agree with the stimulus package, none have seen any evidence of it working. They are dis-pleased with the bail out of GM, one stated, that is the last Chevy I will own. And, many comments, some reasonable and some not were stated against the national health care proposal. Several indicated they had contacted their law makers, we had guys say that from both WV and OH. They also stated that they all got a form letter and that their was no doubt that they would not listen. All should be removed was the unanimous decision at the table. And, so it went. I got the impression that all of them had been reading my rant page here :) It was very interesting and satisfying to realize that I am not alone, not a single person in that room spoke anything in favor of the leadership that is now in office, it was 100% against it because they all considered ONO like I do as unacceptable for the position and his staff also unacceptable and too liberal leading our country the wrong way...

The other thing that was concluded at the table was that despite our belief that we are headed into a major mess, that our opinion and wishes will be ignored. Nobody could speculate to what degree these plans they want to put in place will be done, but all felt that something would be done. The only hope was that the recent protests would cause them to think, perhaps make better decisions and maybe slow down a bit and try a smaller change rather than try to change the entire world in one fell swoop.

To sum it up, it was a group of resigned people who were not happy with what they were seeing and having tried by calling and writing to their lawmakers, realized that their voice and wishes are not going to be heard.

This made me realize that perhaps, just perhaps there are people out there who are calling and expressing the exact opposite of what we want. I don't know any of these people... I honestly don't know anyone who is happy with what is going on right now. I've stated in here that I hope I am not alone several times, now I see that I am not. And I see that my frustrations with this crap and my frustrations at feeling I can do nothing are shared by many.

It is actually sad that at a reunion lunch that people would sit around and 90 plus percent of the conversation is about the mess ONO has created pushing a socialist government on our country. There should have been talk about old times, not current times, and that is a shame.

We are going to end our ranting on here for a couple of weeks. I know, some of you will have withdrawal pains. But we are going on the road for a trip, and after the lunch yesterday I realized that the next couple of weeks, while we are on our trip, will likely make or break these plans they have. I can rant every day about them, but it will be a speech tonight, followed by claims on both sides as to how great or bad the speech was. The next two weeks will decide much of our fate, lets hope that our group is better than their group...

9-08-09 Watching parts of the ONO parade, I don't watch all of any of them, but can't avoid them simply because he is on TV non stop, has been since he was elected. His goal is to talk and talk and be a separate TV channel I suppose. I saw a part of his rally in OH to the union crowd. From this 3-4 minutes of watching, I saw him slinging his arms and yelling, saying that he had to be careful to not loose his voice because he has other speaking engagements, to the schools and another prime time show this week, he waved and waved and pumped up the crowd who was yelling and cheering holding new signs they had been given them to wave and I realized something...

What he said didn't make sense, and they roared! We are going to make this right he said. They roared! On and on he went, drawing yet more cheers, yelling to the point that his voice was strained, and they roared some more. He told them they got him here, roar, he was not going to let them down, roar, they could count on him, roar, he needed their help, roar, they would get it done together, roar...

Only one thing missing, he didn't say one single thing about what he was going to do. And, that is my point, he is a campaign unto himself, I think he might even vote for himself given the chance. He knows how to pump up a crowd, put them in a frenzy, but I challenge anyone to look at what he has said, to identify any solid plan that he is behind, show me the plan, put it on the table so people can consider it, not just watch and listen to you wave your arms and yell some more. Create the plan, put it up for a vote, show the changes, show the cost, let the people vote and decide.

I've said this before so here goes. With anyone else in the office besides ONO, our recession would now be over. His self mandated plans to socialize the country have deepened the recession, they are causing they economy to continue to slow down, they have weakened the economy and will continue to do so. My fear, as expressed several times before on here is that we will have a reflex recession. Hopefully I am wrong but doesn't appear so. Inflation has to arrive, take my March 31st challenge...

9-07-09 Another appointee has resigned, it appears that the DIM tactic of spreading wild ideas and conspiracy theories has come back to haunt the guy. Good, their claim that the US approved of the 911 attack was nothing more than an attack on the Republican party, attempting to damage them. Now it has come around to bite one of the guys who signed it and that makes me happy.

Something is going to pass with this health care crap. I'm hoping that with all the furor over this that the change is a simple one, something that they can work out and demonstrate that they can successfully run a program. I doubt that they can but a small change is certainly better than a complete overhaul which they are proposing. As I have ranted on here before, keep it small and simple, something that will help everyone such as prescriptions...

Lets hope that somewhere, some way, some how that common sense will prevail. I know, that is asking a lot but we can hope. Many of the DIM law makers will simply ignore the will of the people, lets hope that that will come back to haunt them come election time.

9-4-09 Tell you what! I think it is out of line that ONO has the gaul to think that he should speak to the children of our country. That is a parent's responsibility. The man simply can not get enough of seeing himself talking and receiving the worshipful praises of the adoring masses who don't realize that this guy is not qualified to hold the position, much less mentally capable of performing the job.

If I had children in school, I would make sure they were not exposed to this biased presentation. When and where was this done before? I know, some will say when Bush Sr. did it, but it is not the same principal, ONO has other plans. When was it last done.... German history some say...

9-3-09 I don't think he gets it! ONO is so in need of seeing himself on TV and standing before people who applaud his every word, that despite the obvious disapproval of his failed stimulus and half ass planned health care reform plan, he is still doing the one and only thing he knows how to do. Reading words from his teleprompter.

The health care plan has no definition what so ever, it is written in numerous ways by numerous people and nothing has been agreed upon. Yet he says that it is what we MUST have! What? Can you be specific? No you can't, you haven't a clue what is in the current draft or what will be in the next draft, much less what the final bill might look like. You simply WANT to win and will stop at nothing to win it and I guess you will then hope it will work.

The management technique displayed by ONO is a failure, look at the stimulus package. Have you seen anyone who has a job now because of it? The Afghan war, they say it is failing, could that be because your intelligence plan where you have to ask them "pretty please" to answer a question.. might be hampering efforts? Could that be causing the military to think twice or three times before they act, for fear that you will put them in jail for abusing the rights of the enemy in some way? Hell, you are changing the laws, who in the military can make a decision to do anything when the law book changes every few weeks? And, the cash for clunkers pay out, that is working smoothly, just like the stimulus checks to seniors that included a hundred thousand dead people as well as prisoners and foreign nationals.

I'm afraid that even with all this, that is so obvious, so obvious that ONO is a complete idiot and not capable to effectively perform the job (told you so), that the DIM's out of fear of doing nothing after all this time, will pass the Ted the head memorial health care bill. Rally around the man who killed a woman many years ago and go away with it, and pass health care in his memory. I don't know what the word to put to that would be?

I'm disappointed in the Republican's and their lack of leadership and ideas. They need to propose a bill to counter this complete health care takeover that is so wrong. Suggest that we take one step at a time, walk before we run, by proposing the expansion of health care to include assistance for everyone on prescriptions. They can base this on earned income if they want, but make prescriptions a non issue. Suggest that we start that way, work out the bugs and the people would lap it up like a thirsty puppy. Government can't run anything, they need to start with something simple and take it slowly to prove that they can do something right and earn the trust of the people.

I've debated saying this on here, for fear that I would be called a racist. I don't think I am, I have reasons to be one but still I don't think I am. So, here goes. Have you noticed the TV advertisements for everything lately? Have you noticed that black actors are in most of them now? Not all of them, but just pay attention and see for yourself. Is this the media selling ONO? Who knows, just a comment and observation.

9-2-09 Here we are again watching the DIM's and their liberal goody two shoes approach to a person's rights. Well perhaps if the rights of that man out in CA (go figure it is CA) were slightly abused, perhaps the girl he kidnapped for 18 years might have been rescued a bit earlier.

What if ONO's child is kidnapped. Under the DIM plan of interrogation they would ask the person to tell them where they are holding the child, adding a pretty please to the request. If they would not tell them, then I guess pretty please with sugar on top is next?

Do you think if it personally involved those who are making up these liberal rules, that they might feel differently?

There unfortunately comes a time when things happen that require extreme actions by otherwise nice people. One of those cases happens to be when you are at war. To win a war and to prevent the loss of life on our side, it is very handy to capture an enemy soldier and be able to find out from him information that we need. To do this requires that we might just have to be mean to him or her in order to obtain the information that we need. If you ask him nicely and he refuses to tell you what you want, then your left with the choice to either stop or get a bit rougher.

Somehow the idea that water boarding a prisoner to gain information is something we should never do again defies all logic to me. We didn't kill any of them doing this, just made them very uncomfortable until the feared for their lives and provided the information that we wanted.

What prisoner in the future would ever give information under this new DIM method?

This is a national security issue, it is a witch hunt and will seriously damage our intelligence agencies for many years to come. Wise up people!

9-1-09 I guess I don't fully understand how the state of California can each year suffer from non stop fire's that are followed by non stop mud slides. I have been to CA but only a couple stop overs on flights so I don't understand. But, I do understand this and that is why in the hell don't you do something about it? I mean make some effort to clear out some of the fire hazards that obviously are everywhere. For goodness sake! Perhaps this is not done because of the environmentalist issues. After all CA is the state of so many liberal programs and causes. Better re-think this one folks!

Speaking of environmentalist, I have been thinking that the "Cap And Trade" issue was done and over with! Holy Cow! I am seeing advertisements on TV telling us to contact our representatives and tell them to oppose it... They are coming at us from all sides and there is no let up!

As I have repeated on my rant page many times, take a look at my March 31st challenge. I was hoping that I would be partially wrong, I don't want to be right on this, but if the cap and trade issue passes, we are screwed even worse.

It is like being in a boxing ring with half a dozen people to fight at the same time!
