February 2009 Ranting

2-28-09 Big Government is back soon to be followed by big taxes to pay for it. Investors, businesses, entrepreneurs and more. The Bush tax cuts are going to expire and increases and new taxes and fees will be added to boot. In reading the articles I have found regarding this, it is clear that whatever the stimulus package might bring your way, if you work and make money and own a home and car, then your stimulus package gain ($13.00 a pay check?) will quickly be sucked out of your wallet taking with it more money out of your pocket along for the ride. Reducing the amount you can deduct for giving a gift to a charity will reduce the amount people give. Raising taxes on small business will cause some to close or reduce their work force. Adding a tax on emissions will cause large business to reduce, move or close, adding tax to miles driven, gas, water, etc... will remove money from your pocket. Where does this money go? To those who do not work. Take from those who do long enough and those that work will get the point and stop producing. My theory all along with regard to NAFTA and other jobs being sourced out of the US is that you can't find people who are willing to work in the US. Hard labor jobs you can't fill them, people don't want to work, they want to attend their job and draw their pay and buy their goodies. Add to this generations of families who are welfare oriented, why in the heck would you want to work? You get a check, your health care is paid for and all you have to do is nothing.

During his campaign, ONO on multiple occasions made a promise that, or rather, he pledged to fight the addition of pork barrel earmarks to any legislation that he signed. A direct quote from him is "We can no longer accept a process that doles out earmarks based on a member of Congress' seniority, rather than the merit of the project"... The stimulation bill, according to what I have read contains nearly 3,000 earmarks. This includes earmarks sponsored by his VP, members of his staff and at one point also included ONO as a sponsor. However, to keep his pledge, ONO's name was removed from the bill and no longer sponsors anything. This to the tune of in excess of 20 plus billion dollars and still counting. I can't count that high, nor have I read all the articles, it is way over 20 billion...

These earmarks go to satisfy their voters and the stimulus package is aimed that way also. I suggest you take note of how money is going to be spent in your state. Already in WV we have read where road repair, as a result of the stimulus package, is headed. Great! That is needed and might keep or create a few jobs and guess what? The initial announcement where the road repair was going to be done suddenly changed last week. Now my county is no longer getting any share of that money, nor is an adjacent county.... OK, can I read between the lines here? What are the common factors that might cause this change? Uhh, would it be that WV went for the GOP and not ONO. Would it be that our governor, whom I think does a great job by the way is a Dim? Uhhh, would it be because our county and the adjacent county had the largest percentage in the state voting for McCain? Surely not! Don't be so damn obvious!

2-27-09 Ultimately, all recessions and depressions resolve themselves into crises of confidence. The instant, global, 24/7 communications of today make them ever more so. President ONO, in his pursuit of liberal big-government spending, has totally neglected the role of the president of the United States in reversing global panic. To the contrary, his every remark and the constant preoccupation of his Cabinet is to heighten the sense of crisis and to escalate the predictions of doom if we do not do as they tell us and raise spending now and taxes later.

Instead of being a firewall, reassuring Main Street even as Wall Street crashed, he has become a conduit of panic, spreading the mood of desperation from the stock exchange floor to kitchen tables across the world.

Hey ONO! Get your act together, take off the Chicken Little costume and act like you have some confidence in the country you claim to love so dearly. You wanted to be president, you became president, now act like a president....

2-25-09 I simply couldn't bring myself to watch ONO last night as he gave yet another campaign speech. The guy is good on talk, he loves to campaign, yet he is failing to provide sound direction. When you don't know where you are going, any road takes you there and that is his current direction. I am of the belief that you do not throw money at the problem, then throw more money at the problem, I believe that simply fuels the fire and eventually you will run out of money. Don't get me started again...

The bias of the press remains front and center. Journalists now have self appointed themselves as political directors. Their stories and reports are so biased it is hard to stomach sometimes. And of late they are using the tactic of "caught off camera" comments when they are forced to report an opposite view. Basically all the reporters are doing is reporting the jaded story in an attempt to justify their own personal belief and to influence the most important reader they have of their reports, themselves....

Yesterday I discovered a report, where some in the military were going on record concluding that they could not obey the ONO commander because he has not satisfied the constitution to qualify as commander in chief. This was specifically one officer they were talking about. This is just another of the many suits that have been filed trying to clarify why ONO can not provide positive proof of where he was born. I don't understand why he doesn't resolve this issue once and for all. Should be simple enough you would think. His lawyers jockeying around and avoiding this issue makes me think that there may be some truth to these claims that he does not qualify for the presidency under the constitution. I didn't believe this for a long time, not I am not so sure as they continue to avoid providing proof. After reading this article, I got to thinking that perhaps I should put a link on here to it, but upon my return a couple hours later, the article was removed... Are we being censored now too? I still have been unable to find it...

2-23-09 The housing mess we are currently in was started back during the Clinton administration and continued under the Bush administration. I won't bore you with the details but the basis was to dummy down the requirements for lower income people to get a mortgage. There was continued pressure on the lending institutions to "meet their quota" of lending to lower qualified applicants. The government monitored and enforced this requiring loans to be made that went from having to have a down payment, to less of a down payment to no down payment at all. The end result should be no surprise to us today.

The solution to solve this problem in my opinion is to allow those that no longer can afford the loan they took out under this program, who currently reside in the home, to be granted a temporary reduction for no longer than 24 months. Those already forfeiting their homes are out, there is no going back. This bail out money for homes ONO announced should be used that way, to give those still hanging on a chance to pay what they can while they attempt to get their job back. The condition of their home should be recorded and documented, they have to make an effort to improve their financial situation, they have to make their reduced payments and they should at the end of the program be required to re-pay this in some manner, even if it is simply community service. They are taking advantage of a temporary program where their expenses are being reduced at taxpayer expense, they should expect to re-pay fellow taxpayers for this act of kindness.

But, we all know, 6 months from now we will read about certain people who have figured out a way to abuse this program. Probably most who use it will be found to not qualify for it, I can't make up that quick all the fiasco's that will occur but there will be plenty of them I expect.

2-21-09 I wonder sometimes what is wrong with me... I honestly do not know anyone who agrees with the way our country is headed. Yet I watch on TV while the ONO goes on yet another trip somewhere and they scream and holler and faint and carry on like crazy. Man I am missing something!

Saw a piece of a news conference where ONO said, and I will quote as best as I can, "I will hold those who receive federal funds responsible so that they will not abuse or waste the money"... OK, how about you flying around all over the place campaigning for your spending bill... Don't they have a mirror on Air Force one?

2-20-09 I want you to pay my bills for me... Yep, you! After all I shouldn't be punished if I over extended myself by buying a house or a car or ran up credit card debt that I knew I couldn't afford when I did it. It is not my fault! Honest! Lets all just pay for our neighbor's house and forgive him of his debt...

300 bucks in new vehicle taxes... That would be what we will pay under the new added mileage tax that is beginning to work its way through some circles. Gasoline tax is not enough anymore to pay for roads, so stay tuned, the new tax per mile you drive is on its way. That amounts to 300 bucks a year for anyone driving 12,000 miles per year.

I have a suggestion for a new fee, or tax, or whatever you want to call it... I could argue that it is environmentally friendly, promotes physical fitness, saves fuel and all sorts of other good things.. How about taxing to the tune of 10 cents per order for every drive thru fast food purchase? Get off you ass, turn your car off, get out, go inside and get your food yourself. No doubt you need the exercise... From what I see, that would amount to a hunk of change... amazing how many people are to lazy to get out of their car to get their own food...

2-19-09 I was a NCO in the Army for 7.5 years. There I learned as I had been taught by my dad that a true leader does not ask others to do something that you yourself are not capable of doing or that you are not willing to do yourself. Lead by example, show how it is done, demonstrate as needed, be a true leader. I always worked for a living, I was and I still operate this way.

Uhh, O No, how about saving a few bucks on all this travel crap you are doing... Why did you have to fly to Denver in Air force 1 only to be followed by your side kick the VP in Air force 2 and all the accompanying planes, helicopters, personnel and equipment to sign the stimulus bill? Could you have signed it in your office in D.C? I think so.... After capping cooperate CEO salaries and jumping on the auto makers for flying to D.C. to ask for money in private jets, you hit the road and to the tune of over a million bucks in tax payer money go to Denver to sign the bill... And, you continue to campaign from one city to another to try to persuade those who attend that your bill will work... Why is this necessary? Perhaps it is because everybody knows it won't work and you are trying to change their minds? I can't believe somebody hasn't called you on this waste of taxpayer money. You are though I guess a "rock star" and need the attention from your adoring public...

Day or so ago I saw a blurb on Fox where they had asked 2 economists to figure out what it would cost now and what it would cost after this stimulus package was passed to the average tax payer. What they came up with was this. Before the bill was passed, in order to pay off the national debt, every household in the US would have to flop out $27,000 each. By household I assume this meant every family that actually paid taxes, wasn't on welfare or disability or otherwise living the socialist life... After the bill, the amount goes up to $40,000 per household. And they aren't done yet!

2-15-09 What the ? O No flies all over the country pushing his pass my bill NOW or doom and gloom will be upon us forever. The sky is falling, the sky is falling, do it now, work together, get it passed or we will be doomed. Congress became frantic, they rushed to shove it down our throats and passed the bill Friday in an extended session. The guy pretending to be president even sent a jet to pick up a senator in OH who was attending his mother's wake so it would pass... And despite the fact that none of them even bothered to read the 11,000 pages of the bill, it passed because the Dim's are in charge and hold the majority... now what? Well, O No will sign it Tuesday after his 3 day Valentine trip is over. The sky is falling, do it now, they do and he goes on a 3 day vacation and will sign it Tuesday possibly, in Denver, he is still traveling and giving speeches... Anybody tell him he won and doesn't need to continue to campaign?

2-14-09 Valentine's day. O No is in Chicago, seems to be using our air force one quite a bit, must like traveling. And I suppose he is very pleased with himself having his lock step congress pass the bacon factory bill yesterday.

It has become clear in the first couple of weeks that he is going to skip some promises to the people, while keeping promises to special interests. Some of these include the issue of an order that union made products should be considered and I suppose bidding and looking for the cheapest price on purchases is something of the past. And some rumor I have heard of increases taxes on ammunition, are weapons next? Taking over the census control, umm, would that be in conjunction with ACORN, maybe they will run it... And multiple missteps on selecting people to fill positions. Don't they check? Funny that all seem to be involved in not paying taxes to the people they serve....

The spending bill, all 11,000 pages plus would require a speed reader at 600 plus words per minute over 13 hours to read the thing. It was suppose to be posted for 48 hours, full disclosure he said, before it was voted on, but that didn't happen, they voted its approval without reading it. That is comforting, seems the lobbyists that O No claimed and promised he would not allow wrote it, the congress didn't, nobody knows what all is in the thing. But, some comfort can be taken from what was removed and reduced. Defense spending though took a hit, sound familiar? Dimocrats at work...

I'm wondering though, where are the big hand outs that some of the people are expecting? Since I don't know the contents, maybe that hasn't been brought up just yet. Way I understood things from what I saw on TV a few times, the poor were going to make out like bandits... Which hand do you hold out? Anybody know?

Proof is in the results, this is his bill, the Dim's passed it, if it works they can claim victory, but if it doesn't, will they be held accountable? Sure...

I personally believe that a spending bill like this should only be directed to creating jobs for those who have lost their jobs. That any relief to those who went in debt way over their head should be conditional, not a free ride or elimination of the debt. After all, I and many of you have lived our lives within our means, I didn't cause this problem, so if they get yet another hand out, then I expect one too.

If a hurricane had hit Kentucky, would O No have noticed? Tornado's aren't mentioned either in OK...

It burns my butt watching O No salute, when did he serve? Guess that is the Dim way...

My page on O No begins:

I did not vote for obama, not because he is black, or muslim, but because of his total liberal bias and total lack of experience. He is in my opinion a bitter person who is out to run an agenda we are all going to regret in a few years. He is simply riding a whirl wind of excitement generated by those who wish to prove that we, the US, can elect a minority to the office. It is something that a lot of people seem to want to prove, yes, I can vote for a black, yes, I want to show the world that our country wants to appease the whole world... Not based upon qualifications, experience, but based upon race, looks and youth... His wife just became proud to be an American when he started running for the office... The man thinks he is Abraham Lincoln... It will take us years to restore value's to our country after he has been in the office for awhile... I personally fear for the security of our country under this man's leadership, or rather the lack of experience there of...

The campaign was the "perfect storm", absolutely flawless. He was presented as the "black Kennedy" good ole Caroline "you know" Kennedy "you know" got up on stage "you know" and said "you know" that he was what "you know" she always was told "you know" her father was like... "you know"... Well, she turned out to be one sharp cookie when she stepped up to receive her senate seat gift and "you know" proved she was really qualified for the job "you know"... This was followed by "Ted the Head" endorsing him, sealing the Kennedy clan behind him. Well, the man clearly wasn't thinking clearly, he had a brain tumor and didn't know it at the time... Then the Clinton's, boy I would like to be a little mouse in that negotiation... We know what she got, slick Willy will get something too, stay tuned...

Truth is, the election was bought by paying over $1,000 per vote received. An incredible sum of money! He was elected because of the money backing him, he raised from unknown sources more money than anyone else has ever raised, and held a prime time show on multiple networks, which cost a fortune.. At the same time McCain had less than 30 bucks in each vote that he received. Donors on the Republican side were afraid to donate, for fear of repercussions if (as they expected) O No won...

It was and will remain the largest media blitz ever for many years to come.

However, questions remain that will one day eventually be answered, and they are...

Who are these people or countries who gave him all this money?
What were the true actions by "ACORN" during this election?
Was he really born in the US?
Why were all the requirements to prove who you were to vote eliminated?

As I said, it was the "perfect storm", media bias unlike anything we ever thought we would see, dirty tricks, unknown donors and voters, it was something to see...

And then there was McCain. I'm not sure what his problem was but he didn't campaign like he wanted to win. Had I been his campaign manager I would have ran things a bit differently, but, probably would have lost to all that money anyway. The media was on his side, he had unlimited money, he is black, he is handsome (or so they say), he made all the right deals and promises (we will see these soon enough) and I don't think he could have been stopped now that it is all over. But, despite what they say, it was a lot closer than many expected. Despite out spending McCain by 10 to 1, having all the press in his favor, having all the voting requirements adjusted in his favor, the election should have been over before it started. I take heart in that fact, there are good honest hard working people out there with common sense, they will soon realize the mistake they made... Main Page
